American officials say that the linking of radars, satellites and other sensor systems will be key to the Obama administration's new missile defense plan for Europe, the Washington Post reports.
If such a system were in place, it would allow U.S. and NATO officials to track the path of launched missiles throughout their flight, which was not possible even five years ago, said Lt. Gen. Patrick O'Reilly, director of the Pentagon's Missile Defense Agency.
