A U.S. military delegation led by Gen. David Petraeus, the head of U.S. Central Command, visited Turkmenistan last week to discuss defense cooperation, reports Interfax-AVN (Russia).
The delegation was scheduled to meet with Turkmen officials from the Foreign Ministry, State Border Dept. and anti-drug agency, according to local media.
Agenda items included more cooperation in regional security, counterterrorism, border protection and combating drug-trafficking.
