U.S. Defense Secretary Discusses Narcotics, More Cooperation

Peruvian Defense Minister Rafael Rey met on Wednesday with visiting U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates in Lima, reports the Voice of America News.
On their agenda were ways to expand military cooperation, with a focus on illegal drug-trafficking, officials said.
The possible and controversial establishment of a U.S. base in Peru was not discussed, said Rey.
