U.S. troops based at the transit center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan, have begun delivering humanitarian assistance supplies, including food, fuel and water, to fleeing Uzbek refugees, the Air Force Times reports.
The base, near the capital Bishkek in the north, is used to supply operations in Afghanistan.
Supplies are being delivered via locally chartered aircraft, and the military said it is coordinating efforts with the State Dept. and Kyrgyz Ministry of the Protection of Youth. ...
