U.S. Commander Expects More Attack Helicopters, Missile Defenses

The head of the U.S. military in South Korea says he has requested more attack helicopters and stronger missile defense systems, Agence France-Presse reports.

"In order to enhance war-fighting capabilities, I have asked for prioritization to receive an additional attack and reconnaissance squadron to bring our combat aviation brigade to full strength," Gen. James Thurman, commander of U.S. Forces-Korea, told a forum in South Korea.
