U.S. Carrier, Warships, Ready For Drills In E. China Sea

The Japanese navy is holding drills with U.S. warships on Monday in the East China Sea, RIA Novosti reports.

The Nimitz-class USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) carrier is participating along with American destroyers, according to the Japanese Defense Ministry.

The nuclear-powered carrier, whose home port is in California, has been deployed in the area since December, according to the U.S. and Japanese sources.
