U.S. Carrier George Washington Begins Trials

The USS George Washington aircraft carrier, which is based in Japan, left Yokosuka on Tuesday for sea trials ahead of a planned summer deployment, reports the Navy NewsStand.
The carrier has just finished a four-month period of selective restricted availability (SRA), which included upgrades, corrective and preventative maintenance to air-conditioning units, fire fighting systems, aircraft elevators, navigation systems and crew habitability spaces.
