The U.S. Army's 3rd Sustainment Brigade, part of the Ft. Stewart, Ga.-based 3rd Infantry Division, has been assigned to move a massive amount of military gear out of Iraq, Georgia Public Broadcasting reports.
About 100,000 pieces of equipment, including containers, trucks and generators, need to be moved from Iraq and American forces pull out, said brigade commander Col. Shawn Morrissey.
About 40,000 U.S. troops are expected to withdraw from Iraq before September.
