U.S. Army Staff Talks Focus On Strengthening Relations

Top officials from U.S. Army South have been meeting this week with Chilean army leaders in Santiago, reports the Army News Service.
The bilateral staff talks are aimed at promoting the professional partnership and interoperability between the two armies, said Maj. Gen. Simeon Trombitas, the head of U.S. Army South.
The officials planned to finalize a bilateral engagement plan for 2011.
The U.S. Army has held such talks with Chile every year since 2006.
