U.S. Army May Follow Marine Lead With Deployed Tanks

U.S. Army officials are closely watching the new Marine deployment of M1A1 Abrams tanks to Afghanistan while considering deploying tanks of their own, the Army Times reports.

The U.S. had not deployed any tanks to Afghanistan since the war started in 2001. Tanks from Canada and Denmark have been used by NATO.
