U.S. Army, Marines Kick Off Training In Taji, Anbar

The U.S. Army has started its formal training mission in Iraq, reports the Stars and Stripes.
Around 170 U.S. soldiers from the 1st Infantry Division are training four Iraqi army battalions near Taji, a Defense Dept. spokesman said on Monday.
The training started on Dec. 27 and is scheduled to run for six weeks.
