U.S. forces made a "self-defense" airstrike on Tuesday against Al-Shabaab militants in Somalia, says U.S. Africa Command, as reported by the Stars and Stripes.
The airstrike took place about 300 miles southwest of the capital Mogadishu, said an AFRICOM statement.
