U.S. warplanes have flown near Taiwan days after Chinese combat aircraft violated the island country's airspace on their way to the Western Pacific, reports the semi-official Central News Agency (Taipei).
On Wednesday, an MC-130J Commando II special operations aircraft and two B-52 Stratofortress bombers conducted separate flights along the self-ruled island's coast.
