U.S., Afghan Forces Carry Attack To Taliban

Afghan and U.S. forces are attacking Taliban fighters in Nuristan province, the site of a recent deadly assault on a U.S. base, Reuters reports.

The joint effort on the Taliban in the Kamdesh district began on Monday, said the provincial governor. A U.S. and NATO spokesman said only that there was "activity ongoing" in the area.
