A Russian ballistic missile submarine is about to begin sea trials after completing a modernization program, reports the Barents Observer.
The Kareliya (K-18) is wrapping up mooring trials and is scheduled for initial sea trials in the White Sea in early November.
The sub has been at the Zvezdochka shipyard in Severodvinsk since October 2004.
