Unrenewed Leases Force Troops In Kashmir To Train Outside State

The state government in Jammu and Kashmir has not renotified leases by India's central government for the use of firing ranges in the region, forcing local troops to conduct live-fire drills elsewhere in the country, reports the Times of India.
There are 10 ranges in Jammu and Kashmir. The state government has refused to resume all the leases that have lapsed in the last year, according to the paper.
