The Iranian military says it has shot down a foreign uncrewed aerial vehicle that was flying near the port city of Mahshahr in Khuzestan province at the northern end of the Persian Gulf, reports the Islamic Republic News Agency. On Friday, the drone was flying over the city when it was shot down by a domestically manufactured Mersad surface-to-air missile, reported the Tasnim news agency.
