The U.S. Navy's newest Virginia-class attack submarines face operating restrictions after a contractor discovered undocumented repairs that were made to critical components, according to service officials cited by the Stars and Stripes.
The John Warner, which was commissioned last Saturday, and well as Minnesota and North Dakota have been sidelined due to concerns over pipe elbows that help connect the steam generated by the nuclear power plant to the turbines.
