Defense Minister Hans Hillen says he will reduce previously announced cuts to the Dutch military, reports Dutch News.
Hillen has been under pressure from the three-party ruling coalition to scale back the impact of budget cuts on operational forces.
The revised plan calls for five Cougar helicopters to remain in service and all four of the Holland-class patrol ships to be retained.
The military police may also have fewer reductions.
