Pakistani authorities are investigating reports that the leader of the Pakistani Taliban, Hakimullah Mehsud, has died from wounds sustained by a U.S. drone, CNN reports.
State broadcaster PTV reported Sunday that Mehsud died last week, citing sources in North Waziristan. Two drone strikes in January were said to target Mehsud.
U.S. and Pakistani authorities have not confirmed the reports.
