Unattended Ground Sensors Attain Production Milestone

The Pentagon has approved low-rate initial production (LRIP) for its unattended ground sensor (UGS) program, reports Textron Systems, builder of the UGS.
Textron Defense Systems is scheduled to deliver the Tactical-Unattended Ground Sensors (T-UGS) and Urban-Unattended Ground Sensors (U-UGS) during 2011.
The 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, is scheduled to be equipped with the sensors for initial operational test and evaluation next year.
