UNASUR Nations Agree To Share Defense Spending Data

The member states of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR) have agreed to make public more information on their military expenditures, reports Mercopress (Uruguay).

Once the members approve of a common methodology to measure defense spending, the information will be shared on the group's website, according to Javier Ponce, the Ecuadorian defense minister who just stepped down as the head of the UNASUR Defense Council.
