Islamic State militants in Mosul in northern Iraq have blown up that city's second-largest hotel, reports Iraqi News.
The 236-room Mosul Hotel, which sits on the west bank of the Tigris River and was built when Saddam Hussein was dictator, was filled with barrels of TNT on Saturday, according to an unnamed security source quoted by the Mawazin News Agency. He did not provide details on the extent of the damage.
