The Somali government has ordered a top U.N. official to leave the country after he criticized the arrest of a former militant turned political figure, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
The foreign ministry said on Tuesday that Nicholas Haysom, the special representative of the U.N. secretary-general for Somalia, must leave the country.
Haysom breached the code of conduct for U.N. officials in Somalia, the ministry said.
