The U.N. Security Council has extended the mandate of the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) for another four months, saying it would be the last extension, the Hindustan Times reports.
The seventh extension authorizes the mission until Jan. 15, 2011.
At that point, the mandate will terminate and personnel will leave Nepal as requested by the government, said U.N. officials.
