The United Nations maintains that weapons seized last week by Kenyan authorities on a cargo ship bound for the Democratic Republic of Congo were not illegal, reports the BBC.
The weapons were a legitimate consignment headed to the U.N. peacekeeping mission in the Democratic Republic of Congo, said a U.N. spokesman on Thursday.
