The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees says that approximately 400,000 people have been driven from their homes by ethnic clashes in Kyrgyzstan, United Press International reports.
About 300,000 refugees have been displaced internally, while another 100,000 have sought refuge in neighboring Uzbekistan, according to the U.N. agency. Many families have left the southern Kyrgyz city of Osh for the capital of Bishkek.
