U.N. Plan Produces Unity Cabinet Announcement; Support By Rival Parliaments Remains Uncertain

The U.N.-brokered Presidential Council, which is based in Tunisia, has announced the formation of a unity government in Libya, reports Al Jazeera (Qatar).
The unity government includes 32 ministers in the Cabinet and will be headed by businessman Fayez al-Sarraj, according to an announcement on Tuesday.
The government was formed under a U.N.-backed plan signed by lawmakers from Libya's rival governments in December.
