The U.N. Security Council has extended the mandate of the peacekeeping mission in Cyprus, reports the U.N. News Service.
The mandate now runs until Jan. 31, 2018, following the unanimous vote last week.
Efforts to reach a settlement to the long-running conflict between Greek and Turkish Cypriots collapsed in early July.
