U.N. Monitors Seek Access To Rebel Stronghold

The United Nations is urging the Syrian government to permit monitors to enter a rebel-held town that is under attack, reports the Voice of America News.
Residents of Al-Haffeh in Latakia province have said government helicopters and tanks have been firing on the northwestern town.
On Monday, U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon said U.N. observers must be granted "unimpeded access" to Al-Haffeh.
