U.N. Human Rights Office To Investigate Violence In West Papua

The Indonesian government has agreed in principle to allow U.N. human-rights officials to visit West Papua amid increasing violence, reports the Guardian (U.K.).
High Commissioner Michelle Bachelet has been engaging with Indonesian authorities and the office is waiting for confirmation of the arrangements, a spokeswoman for the Office of the U.N. Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said earlier this week.
