A United Nations commission has asked the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate if human-rights violations committed in Burundi constitute crimes against humanity, reports Bloomberg News.
The U.N. Commission of Inquiry on Burundi, in a report issued on Monday, said its investigators found that suspects in the East African country committed crimes such as extrajudicial executions, torture and enforced disappearances over the last two years.
