Ultra Maritime Demonstrates Integrated Sonar Solution in U.S. Navy Exercise

Ultra Maritime reported on Aug. 13, 2026, that it successfully demonstrated a new integrated active-passive sonar system during the U.S. Navy’s 2026 Lanternfish exercise. The test combined the company's Sea Spear passive sonar with its new SSQ-125B active sonobuoy to detect unmanned underwater vehicles.

The system provides real-time situational awareness for applications such as port protection while advancing the company's "Ocean of Things" initiative. This network integrates autonomous sensors across manned and unmanned platforms to deliver continuous visibility.
