The head of the outlawed United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA) has suggested that his group may be ready to negotiate with the Indian government, United Press International reports.
Arabinda Rajkhowa was recently released on bail after being held for a year in Guwahati, the state capital of Assam.
ULFA could begin peace talks if more ULFA members are released from prison, he said.
