The German government by Thursday had returned its official websites to service a day after they were brought down by hackers, reports the New York Times.
The Russian hacker group CyberBerkut claimed responsibility for taking down the web pages of the lower house of the German Parliament, Chancellor Angela Merkel's official homepage and the Foreign Ministry.
