Ugandan General Sees Growing Interest In Peacekeeping Mission

The head of ground forces in Uganda says four additional African nations are considering the deployment of peacekeepers with the African Union mission in Somalia (AMISOM), the New Vision (Uganda) reports.

Officers from Nigeria, Zambia, Senegal and Ghana were meeting with Ugandan and Burundian representatives in Mogadishu, Lt. Gen. Katumba Wamala told Ugandan lawmakers last week in Kampala, Uganda's capital.
