Even as American troops are withdrawing from Iraq, the flight hours of U.S. unmanned aerial vehicles are expected to increase, the Air Force Times reports.
The need for surveillance will increase, and the use of communications relays will also rise, said Army officials.
The service will have a more precise assessment over projected hours by October, said officials.
Unmanned flights over Afghanistan are also expected to increase.
