UAE Takes Yemenis Freed From Guantanamo Prison

Five detainees who had been held at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have been transferred to the United Arab Emirates, reports the Voice of America News.
The Yemeni detainees with suspected Al-Qaida ties were captured in 2001 by Pakistani and Afghan forces and turned over to the U.S., said the Pentagon on Sunday.
This transfer reduced the detainee population in Gitmo to 107, including 48 who have been cleared for resettlement.
