Kurdish sources say Turkish airstrikes intended to hit fighters from the Kurdish Workers' Party (PKK) have killed six security personnel from Iraq's autonomous Kurdish government, reports Agence France-Presse.
Kurdish officials said Tuesday's airstrikes were apparently aimed at a Yazidi militia allied with the PKK, which is considered a terrorist group by Ankara. Turkey is allied with the Iraqi Kurdish government.
