President Trump has announced plans to designate Mexican drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, reports BBC News.
Trump announced the move on Nov. 26 during a radio interview, reported the Washington Post.
The president indicated that U.S. military assistance had been offered to Mexico to help combat the cartels.
