Trump Endorses Turkish Op In N. Syria, Withdraws U.S. Troops

U.S. troops have begun withdrawing from positions in northern Syria ahead of a planned Turkish military operation against Kurdish fighters who had been U.S. allies in the fight against ISIS, reports the New York Times.
On Monday, witnesses reported American withdrawals from two observation posts in Tel Abyad and Ein Eissa.
On Sunday, the White House said that U.S. personnel would not intervene on behalf of either side and would withdraw from the area.
