President Donald Trump has agreed to slow the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Syria, reports the New York Times.
Trump has backed away from his initial order for a speedy withdrawal within 30 days, instead giving the military about four months, officials told the newspaper on Monday.
The president discussed the decision with commanders during a recent surprise trip to Iraq and Syria.
