Truce Set For Homs Province, Says Russia

The Russian Defense Ministry says Syrian government forces and "moderate" rebels have agreed to a cease-fire in the area north of the Syrian city of Homs, reports Agence France-Presse.
Russia and the rebel groups reached an agreement on July 31 during talks in Cairo, Egypt, said a ministry spokesman.
The truce in northern Homs province will begin at 12:00 p.m., local time, Thursday, the spokesman said.
