The Nigerian army says it has rescued more than 300 people from the Boko Haram militant group in the northeast of the country, reports the International Business Times.
Troops ambushed Boko Haram camps on Tuesday in the group's stronghold of Sambisa Forest, said a military spokesman.
The army said more than 30 terrorists were killed in the rescue of 338 who were being kept captive, reported CNN. Eight men, 138 women and 192 children were rescued, said the military.
