The Malawian armed forces have been certified to provide training to other militaries for U.N. peacekeeping missions, reports the Nyasa Times (Malawi).
Virginia Palmer, the U.S. ambassador to Malawi, presented the certificate to Gen. Spoon Phiri during the graduation ceremony of more than 800 troops for U.N. peacekeeping operations in Chikala Hills, Machinga, the newspaper said on April 7.
