The Philippine army is mobilizing ahead of approaching Typhoon Lupit, reports Xinhua, China's state news agency.
The typhoon, known locally as Ramil, is expected to make landfall in the northern Philippines in the next few days.
Lt. Gen. Delfin Bangit, the head of the army, inspected units Thursday stationed in northern Luzon, including the 1st Regional Community Defense Group (RCDG)and the 54th Engineering Brigade in Manaoag, Pangasinan.
