Soldiers in three cities in the Ivory Coast have apparently begun a mutiny, reports Deutsche Welle, citing residents and army officers.
Heavy weapons fire was heard Friday near the nation's largest military camp of Bouake, reported AFP. Former soldiers were said to have taken over police stations, taken weapons and set up positions at the entrances of the city, reported the BBC.
