The Pakistani military killed six militants in Bajaur tribal agency on Wednesday, the Dawn (Pakistan) reports.
Attack helicopters and heavy artillery were used against insurgent targets in the villages of Ghaundu and Samsai, military officials said.
The Taliban apparently infiltrated the region from neighboring Mohmand district, said the military. A number of militant hideouts were also destroyed.
The military has declared the area clear before only to have to return....
