Officials in Senegal say rebel fighters from the Movement of Democratic Forces of Casamance (MFDC) have attacked a southern Senagalese village near the Gambian border, reports the Voice of America News.
An army patrol engaged the rebels, with fighting leading to casualties on both sides, an army spokesman said on Monday.
