About 220,000 troops will be deployed in Brazil for one day next month to raise awareness of a mosquito-borne virus affecting the country, say Brazilian officials cited the New York Times.
The Zika virus has been linked to birth defects in 3,900 infants, resulting in microcephaly, a condition that includes an abnormally small head. There is no known vaccine or cure for the virus.
Members of the armed forces are scheduled to go door-to-door on Feb. 13 to hand out pamphlets...
